HALLOWEEN 2017

After two scaring days promoted by Luis, Manuel and Oscar A. who made us screaming and being afraid, last 31st October we celebrate Halloween. 

Did you know that Halloween is a celebration that comes from the Celts? For Celts 1^st November was  New Year’s Day and they believed that on 31^st October living and dead came together. 

The Christian church named November 1^st All Saints Day (also called All Hallows) to honour the saints and other people who died for their religion. The night before, that is 31^st October, was called Hallows Eve. Later the name changed into Halloween.

This is a summary of that day.

Tras dos días de sustos promovidos por Luis, Manuel y Óscar A. que nos hicieron gritar y pasar miedo, el pasado 31 de octubre celebramos Halloween.
¿Sabías que la celebración de Halloween proviene de los celtas? Para los celtas el 1 de noviembre era el día de año nuevo y creían que el 31 de octubre los vivos y los muertos convivían juntos.
La iglesia cristiana señaló el 1 de noviembre como el Día de Todos los Santos (All Hallows) para honrar a los santos y otras personas que murieron por su religión. La noche previa, es decir el 31 de octubre, se llamó Hallows Eve. Más tarde este nombre se transformó en Halloween.
